Nissan has taken the initiative to develop the first pantograph type reach truck in the industry. This was due to the increased demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series of forklifts come in 3 different load capacities varying from 1360 kg to 2000. The system was made due to intensive operator participation on the design. These factors played a big part to ensure its acceptance into the hugely competitive reach truck market in the United States. The following excellent safety and operator comfort features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
The entry and exit to the machine has been simplified because of a low step height. The model's side stance design makes driving both reverse and forward more comfortable for the operator. The model is available with a gently sloped floorboard that is in place to sit on top of 4 vibration isolators. This particular design offers a relaxed driving position for the operator in a standing shift. Furthermore, the SRX Platinum Series provides a cushioned floor mat to provide a ride that is smoother and more enjoyable.
The caster design of the dual spring suspension system adds to the machines smoothness of operation. This particular suspension on uneven and rough driving surfaces, the suspension has been built to provide much better stability during operation. The thick padding situated underneath the operator's arm further improves the total comfort factor. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place too. The high operator backrest and the rear overhead guard post on the SRX Series provide additional protection for the operator. This is particularly vital when working within tight and around racking locations.
Nissan's forklifts have been built with the ergonomically and intuitive designed interior with a multi-function handle, that helps to achieve accurate control while reducing operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands comprise lift and lower, drive, horn, side-shift or other auxiliary function and reach are capable of being performed and executed using this single handle.
