A kind of machinery in the material handling industry that could be used to raise and move loads from one place to another is known as a forklift. Each and every forklift part has a particular function. Different components can be used to transport the load horizontally or vertically.
Mast
The parts utilized to lift and lower the load is referred to as the forklift mast. There are various kinds of masts used for raising loads to different heights: triplex, quad, simplex and duplex.
Power Supply
Forklifts have four different ways of being powered: gas, electric, propane and diesel. The battery is situated within the cab under the seat. The propane tank is located on the rear of the truck. The fuel tank on gas and diesel forklifts is underneath the rear of the truck.
Cab
Situated in the middle of the truck is the forklift cab. This is where the operator sits and accesses all the controls and informational gauges. The steering wheel, gas pedal, lifting controls, tilting controls and brake are all situated inside the cab.
Frame
The truck frame carries all the largest parts of the forklift, like the counterweights, which are located at the rear so as to stop the truck from tipping when loaded. The frame consists of the overhead guard that protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the axles, wheels and driveshaft.
