FM GRU Tower Cranes were established in 1920. This family run business, FMgru, is situated within the largest industrial location within northern Italy. Throughout the 1950s, when the farming economy was evolving into an industrial and manufacturing economy, the company was working in the metal structural sector and welded construction industries. FMgru was involved in building bridges for roads, pylons to convey electricity, various kinds of presses, forklifts, prefabrication molds and farming equipments.
During the year 1963, the company started crane production. The company eventually invested all of their financial resources and human resources in this activity. The target of this streamlining was to reach the highest specialization level in the area of lifting.
Product Line
FMgru currently makes and sells 4 different series of tower cranes. These machines are designed and engineered for a variety of applications and there are units available to cover all construction needs.
Several models provide extremely flexible lifting options for companies that are constructing small buildings and private houses. Self-erecting cranes have 1200 to 4000 kg capacity and provide 22 to 40 meters jib range.
Other models include topless tower cranes. These cranes have 30 to 65 meters jib range and a running capacity of 1800 to 6000 kg. The fast erecting tower cranes are both user friendly and extremely adaptable. They are suitable for minimizing interferences when there are numerous cranes working in the same building site.
Saddle-jib tower cranes have a running capacity of 6000 kg to 12000 kg and a jib range of 58 to 80 meters. There are standard tower cranes that have no over sail restriction and are suitable for any construction or building project.
The Fdr56Luffing-jib cranes have 50 meter jibs and are outfitted with 12000 kg capacity. These cranes are specifically designed to work in tight locations and on high-rise projects where buildings are situated in close proximity to each other.
