Aisle Types
Narrow Aisle and Wide Aisle lift trucks are classed due to the types of aisles they have been designed to work in. These equipments could turn in an aisle, while Very Narrow Aisle trucks really don't turn in the aisle. There are several aisle widths to consider with various units.
VNA or Very Narrow Aisle trucks work in less than 6 feet areas and normally utilize particular guidance systems like rail, wire or optical systems in order to travel within the aisles. Several different models of VNA trucks consist of Turret Trucks, Swing Masts and Order Selectors. These are popular models in compact retail spaces and in several warehouse and storage situations.
Narrow Aisle or NA trucks can work in aisles that are 8 feet to 10 feet. Generally these are stand-up units like for instance Reach Trucks. They are commonly utilized in storage facilities and warehouses.
Wide Aisle Standard forklifts fall into this truck category and are designed to work in aisles which are more than 11 feet wide.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard which is designed to reduce operator exhaustion by absorbing vibration. The compartment for the operator is very spacious and has an 8" low step height that helps lessen overall body exhaustion by easing frequent exit and entry. The unit consists of polyurethane steer tires to absorb vibration and shocks caused by uneven floor in order to enable smooth traveling. For additional comfort, there is a cushioned armrest and floor mat as well as a backrest designed to help keep operators comfortable and thus more productive while limiting fatigue.
