The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were previously unreachable by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This specific feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both efficiency and production.
